Fortier Mattila Appraisals Inc. insists on having only the most qualified staff. Our experienced appraisal team is comprised of 7 University trained, licensed members of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC).

AACI, P.App (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute, Professional Appraiser)

Our three (3) AACI, P.App designated appraisers complete appraisal and consulting work on all forms of real estate including residential, commercial, agricultural. The AACI designation requires an undergraduate degree, 15 real estate courses through the University of British Columbia, completion of a guided commercial or agricultural case study, two years in the Applied Experience Program and completion of both a written examination and oral interview. Individuals must also complete AIC’s mandatory Professional Practice Seminar and the introductory We Value Canada workshop. AACI – Steps to Designation

CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser)

Our four (4) CRA designated appraisers complete appraisal and consulting work on residential real estate including single family, condominiums, acreages and multi-family properties up to 4 units. The CRA designation requires an undergraduate degree, up to seven courses from AIC’s Program of Professional Studies, completion of a residential guided case study, one year in the Applied Experience Program, and completion of both a written examination and oral interview. Individuals must also complete AIC’s mandatory Professional Practice Seminar and the introductory We Value Canada workshop. CRA – Steps to Designation

David FortierDavid A. Fortier | AACI, P.App, Bcomm (Dist.) | Owner, President, Senior Appraiser

David Fortier is originally from the Edam area, raised on a beef, bison and grain farm. David draws upon his construction background, his agricultural background, his ownership and management of apartment and commercial rental properties, and a background in statistics and real estate through his University training. David has diplomas in Appraisal and Assessment and Advanced Business Administration (both with Honors) from Lakeland College, a Certificate in Real Property Assessment from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (with Distinction) from Athabasca University. Pamela ConnorPamela Connor | AACI, P.App, Bcomm (Dist.) | Senior Appraiser, Vice President

Pamela Connor grew up on a grain farm in the Coleville, SK area. Pamela draws upon her background in agriculture and a strong understanding of business, economics, real estate and finance through her University training. Pamela has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan with a major in Accounting and Finance as well as a post graduate certificate in Real Property Valuation from the University of British Columbia. Pamela has over 7 years of appraisal experience throughout Saskatchewan. Karen ParmarKaren Parmar | AACI, P.App, Bcomm (Dist.) | Senior Appraiser, Warman Regional Manager

Karen Parmar grew up in the Dalmeny, SK area and draws upon her strong understanding of business, economics, real estate and finance through her University training. Karen has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan with a major in Finance and Human Resource Management as well as a post graduate certificate in Real Property Valuation from the University of British Columbia. Karen has over 11 years of experience in the Saskatoon and area market as well as Prince Albert, and numerous communities throughout north and mid-west Saskatchewan. Clayton CampbellClayton J. Campbell | CRA, BA | Senior Appraiser

Clayton Campbell was born and raised in the Battlefords and works out of our Battleford heads office. Clayton has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has been active in the real estate community for over 35 years. He has worked in the real estate industry since 1977 as a licenced realtor, and joined the Appraisal Institute of Canada as a residential real estate appraiser in 1995. Alex Scheidt grew up in the Luseland-Kindersley, SK area where her family operated a grain farm. Alex draws on a background in agriculture and a strong understanding of business, economics and real estate through her University training. Alex has a diploma in Appraisal and Assessment from Lakeland College, Certificate in Real Property Assessment from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Athabasca University. Kristene Johnson | CRA | Senior Appraiser, Saskatoon Manager

Kristene Johnson has lived in the City of Saskatoon for more than 20 years. Kristene has over 20 years of appraisal experience in the Saskatoon market as well as numerous communities throughout Saskatchewan.  Kristene has been Qualified in the Court of Queens Bench as an expert witness in the valuation of residential real estate, and was a former partner in the appraisal firm Brunsdon Lawrek and Associates (Formerly Brunsdon Junor Johnson Appraisals Ltd.). Kristene is an approved appraiser for numerous banks, credit unions, mortgage brokers, relocation companies. Brad Novakowski grew up in Shellbrook, SK and draws on his background in building supplies and agricultural sales as well as knowledge gained through his family’s bison operation. Brad also draws upon a strong background in real estate and statistics through his University training. Richard MurrayRichard Murray | Research Manager

Richard Murray works out of our North Battleford head office. Richard grew up on a farm outside of Denholm, SK. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and was awarded a School of Agriculture Diploma in 1990. He actively grain farmed and raised cattle until joining the appraisal field in the 1990s. Seeking designated real estate appraisers. Fortier Mattila Appraisals Inc. (headquartered in North Battleford, SK) is looking at adding to our appraisal team. We currently have offices in the Battlefords, Kindersley, Meadow Lake, Saskatoon, Shellbrook and Warman, SK and are looking for the right individual to join our team and expand our appraisal division. Work from home with administrative support and with a group of experienced appraisers. We are open to discussing expanding into new markets with the right individuals. We are open to AACI, CRA members of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and DAC and DAR members of CNAREA. Competitive compensation available, flexible work environment.
